I know I've read things on here regarding the CT Enterography (the CT with the stuff you drink and get the IV) but I can't find it now. My doctor is sending me for one of these in the next few weeks to look at a narrowing/stricture in my terminal ileum that's causing a lot of pain, probably due to partial obstructions.
I've had this done before when I had an abscess last year but my question is regarding the effectiveness of this test to determine if narrowing is caused by inflammation or scar tissue. My doctor and I are both pretty sure it's scar tissue that's causing it because all my bloodwork is normal, no inflammation markers and I feel good except for the pain from the narrowing. I'm on Remicade which seems to be keeping the Crohn's under control.
Any insight would be appreciated
