Hi everyone:

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, but I thought I would share a couple of things for those that are interested. I just seen my GI doc a couple of weeks ago and she things it's crohn's or some IBD, had a barium ct scan which didn't show anything conclusive except fatty deposits in my liver, and then I have a colonoscopy scheduled on May 14. I've had a colonscopy before so no real concern there. But I've been feeling this feeling of discomfort and slight burning pain on what feels like my transverese colon. It's too low to be stomach pains and too high to be other things so that's my self dx regarding that. It honestly just feels good to tell someone this whether you want to reply or not. I also haven't had a single problem with D for the past three months, but I have had big problems with C. It's either D or C. No comfy in between and the burning sensations. I haven't had the awful lower right quadrant pain for a long time so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm willing to bet that I probably have a mild case of an IBD so I'm hoping that's what the cscopy shows. But I'm getting this strange feeling that it's probably not going to show much at all. I should be happy if it doesn't show anything, but then that won't explain my problems. I'm actually getting the tube down my throat too in addition to the other place.

So in addition to my mental issues I have digestive issues. I just hope the docs don't find anything too serious, but yet I want them to find something to explain all of this. Okay. Thanks for reading.

llake thats really normal to feel that way.
it is so nice to finally have an explantaion for how your feeling and there is relief in that, but then at the same time you have to deal with the fact that you were just diagnosed with something.
we have all been there, so we know what youre going through.

hope you get some type of answer soon. to me, the worst place to be is feeling sick but not being able to do anything about it.
let us know!

Well I have my colonoscopy tomorrow and at 7pm tonight I get to start drinking that nasty stuff. The nurse said I can mix some crystal light lemon flavor in it so I'm gonna give that a shot. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and I'll let you all know how it goes. Also, I am not looking forward to the bathroom trips, but maybe that will be a good thing considering my C is rather out of this world latley. Okay Ciao!

hope you made it though the god awful prep in one piece man!

how did everything go?
let us know when u can!

Hey Kello82 and everyone else. Just an update. I did make it through that awful prep even though I couldn't drink the last liter, but everything was clean inside. I had to have the tube down the throat and up the other place. The GI doc said everything was fine so I'm happy about that, but at the same time it stilll leaves me questioning exactly what is wrong with me. Oh well. Thanks for reading.

hmmm. well since theres no visible signs of disease, could that mean its IBS? did the doc offer any other suggestions or insights, or was it just "oh nothing is wrong."

lol "the other place" ..that made me laugh :D

The doc did say IBS was a possibility. The only thing he said was that I may have the start of an ulcer. So he gave me protonix to combat that. I guess I'm still left wondering. I would have to agree with an IBS dx though.

huh. ive never heard of protonix.
i hope it helps though whatever it is
feeling crappy without an answer as to why sucks big time

hi llake. actually i was also just going to suggest that maybe it's IBS and not IBD based on your test results and symptoms you mentioned.

hope you feel better soon. good luck with everything.
