Just a quick bit of background... I'm a 44 year old married father of two, and I've had CD symptoms dating back to high school. I was finally diagnosed in '07, and have run the gamut of meds. I'm currently taking the meds shown in my signature...

OK, now that that's out of the way, here's the point of this post...

Last year, I read several interesting tidbits on the internet about using Saccharomyces Boulardii (a form of yeast) in treating CD.

Now before I continue, I have to admit: I have never had *any* faith in any sort of herbal medicine, holostic medicine, natural medicine... heck, if it didn't come in a prescription bottle, I didn't want any part of it.

But the information on S. Boulardii was an actual scientific study showing that it did help the majority of CD sufferers that tried it.

I've been on it for just over a year, and have had *very* good results.

If your interest is piqued, do a google search on Sacchoromyces Boulardii and read up on it.

Just one word of caution... Don't take too much of it! Taking too much of it can make you constipated. I have found just one capsule in the morning with the rest of my meds is just perfect.

Now on to the Curcumin...

Extracts of Curcumin have seen a growing popularity among those that have one of the various inflammatory diseases.

After reading up on it a bit, I have added two curcumin capsules to my daily meds.

Adding S. Boulardii and Curcumin to my prescribed drugs have given me a level of remission I didn't know was possible without prednisone.

Before you add either of them to your routine, PLEASE consult with your doctor first! I talked to mine on the phone for quite a bit before hand. In my particular case (yours could very well differ), he saw no reason to not give it a shot.

I'm glad I did... I just hope the effects are long term *fingers crossed*.

I take curcumin and ginger extract everyday. I figure it cant hurt, and they have added anticancer benefits which is nice when taking something like imuran. Boswellia is another potent anti-inflammatory, if you are interested. I havent added that one yet.
