Currently on Humira

Hi, I haven't posted on here before.

I've been diagnosed with Crohn's disease for around 7 years now. I first found out that I had Crohn's after getting abscesses, and my Dr wanting to look for a cause. I got pretty average help for the next 4 years or so before getting really bad and having to be hospitalised.

Since then, I've had a good treatment plan through the hospital (currently having Humira treatment). I've had some small operations over the years and I've been on the improve, but I guess it all seems ok until the next big flare.

I guess I'm joining the forum so that I can talk to someone about my CD (it's hard to talk to people that don't really understand).

Hello and welcome to the forum

I take it the ops you have had were down to abscesses? What meds have you been on previously before the Humira - is this keeping the tum settled? I don't have any experience with this med myself but we do have a sub forum dedicated to this at is worth having a look at: http://www.crohnsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59.

You have certainly come to the right place for lots of helpful info and support do do have a good look around.

You have come to the right place for support ! Soon you will see how awesome this community is. You said the Humira is working, are you I'm remission? How long have you been on Humira? Definitely take a look at the link angrybird gave you, it can be a great resource, and you can talk to other people that are on it.
