cut backs for medicaid

this seems insane. i have crohn's, fibromyalgia and arthralgia. if they were to cut back on my fund and not pay for treatments not only would i go into debt but my lifesan would be cut drastically. if this gets passed and i get cut off from medicaid and gov't help i'm gonna freak out. i really don't need this extra stress. it would be insane to cut me off.

Why are they cutting it? Does everyone or just your case? I sometimes am glad our system is better but like how you guys can get appt faster.

Is there anyway you can fight it? Sorry dont know much of the US system...now I know how people end up on the streets.

it's not only me who would be getting cut back but a whole slew of other people including seniors in nursing home and children who are too poor afford health insurance. i'm not even 100 percent sure that i will be included in this cutback but the thought of loosing my health insurance when i'm dealing with a surgery and expensive drugs to treat my crohns and other ailments is really scary. they are trying to pass the bill but i don't believe that voters will let that happen. i hope voters have a say in it but i'm unsure. all i know is that cut back may be made :/

Please don't let the politicians scare you with their fear mongering in Washington. Worrying will do nothing but make you more ill and that's never good.

i know i know. i tend to over worry :/ i'm just gonna try and forget about all this stressful stuff and hopefully it will just go away.

Medi-Cal has been cutting back for years. No more dental, psychiatric care and something else that just came in the mail but didn't apply to me (adult day care or something like that). You can always fight it. I still see the dentist during emergencies (they pay for that and extractions) and get to see a therapist when I run through the red tape for a while (but even those visits are limited). Everything requires a referral and referrals take FOREVER. Always have a lawyer is all I can say.
