Darker stools

Some of my stools have been darker lately. Does that mean I could be bleeding internally? I called my gi forty minutes ago.

For ds we were told as long as it's not
tar black
Pure white
Or streaked with blood or marooon (i.e. Blood mixed in )
They weren't too concerned
But everyone is different so hopefully your GI will have answers soon

Have you recently started taking iron supplement pills? They can darken the stool, usually to a shade of dark green/brown.
