Deal with Inflammation...or Palpitations? :/

A couple weeks ago I posted on here if Entocort 6mg + LDN could cause chest pain. I came out of the ER "normal ECG"....however, my current GI said the LDN was most likely to blame. I stopped it circa July 16th. However, I STILL have the palpitations, though not as heavy as before, but something is really uncomfortable feeling there. I'm seeing a new GI on August 27th(one referred by my Dr at Mayo...-the current one was a "in the meantime while I get an appt"- I've tried tapering the Entocort more seriously since this Monday, but abdominal cramps increase :/ Is that part of maybe tapering...the cramping, then it levels out? This has been a HUGE lesson to accept this diagnosis (though mild...and I hope it stays that way!) but I was med-free and symptom free alll last year and a half. Exactly 4 years ago to the date, I was in the midst of Entocort, then Pentasa, then 6mp :ymad: which the risks terrified me, so I took myself off of it. Now that I have the motivation to DO things and get active with my life, this has to be unsettled, though the CT scan last month showed mild inflammation. I'm also on the SCD diet (cheated really badly last weekend!) SO, IDK if I should stop Entocort and take nothing until I see the new GI in 4 weeks...OR risk the damaging feeling to my heart, in exchange for inflammation "control". His nurse said I could get back on LDn....but I know palps are also a side effect. I want my heart to be healthy!! What would you do??

You'll have to taper off entocort. As you taper CD symptoms may return if 6MP hasn't had enough time to become therapeutic. It can take 4 months I believe. Also it has to be in therapeutic range which your GI should be determining with blood tests.

Hope you find answers soon

If your ekg was normal and it is just palpitations then they are usually not damaging. Now if you are experiencing some type of arrhythmia or lasting tachycardia then you would need to have that seen about.

True. Though I'd be worried the constant palpitations would lead to damage lol. I decreased Entocort starting last Monday and in the last 2 days, I definitely see some relief!...except for the GI part :/ But i'd rather save my heart and wait a couple more weeks to see the new GI doctor than possibly causing heart problems. Thank you!! :)
