I went to the ER two days ago with AFWUL chest pain. I had been throwing up and having d for 2 days straight. The main thing that scared me was the new chest pain. My blood pressure was 150/95 and my pulse was 148. They did an abdominal X-ray, nothing was abnormal. They also did an EKG, saw palpitations. They said my blood looked good, and have me 2 IV bags of fluid, morphine via IV and nausea med via IV and sent me home. My abdominal pain was still there. Here I am, I am still not feeling good at all. Fatigue, threw up 12 times yesterday. SOmething isn't right. I don't know if I need to go back to the ER, or really what to do. I am in the process of finding a new GI, since my other GI only prescribed me bentyl 10 mg as needed for my chrons. I am so discouraged. I really dont know what to do, I am not running a fever, It will occasionally spike to 99.5. ANy suggestions? Go back to the ER? I have been twice this month?
Thank you guys!

Wow do you ever need a good GI!!! Yes, you have to get fluids into you ASAP and by IV. So yes, please, back to the ER and this time, you need to stay in hospital until you are stable!

Good luck, and please keep us updated!!!

vomiting 12 times! That's not right, you may be blocked.
Yes, go back to hospital and good luck

I agree with Astra and Terriernut. You need to get back into the hospital. It sounds like your obstructed. Please take care.

update. went back to er! I just got admitted. my pulse was 170 when I arrived! ! they said my ct looked normal and so did my bloodwork, so they are trying to figure out if this is a flare! any ideas?

Hi,
if you do not have a flu...can you ask the Dr. for anti nausea meds??
See if you can get electrolyte mix from Health food store/it taste better then some that are pre mixed. Not as salty ;).They come in little packets you can mix in a water bottle size, very convenient.
If you are still in pain, best go back to ER....
Is the throwing up super foul....different then usual? If yes, chances are it could be a blockage.
Is the 'D' total watery? This could also point to a blockage.
The stomach pains....like a wave? Feels kinda like a rhythm? This could also point to a blockage.

Hope you are doing better!!

Your CRP was normal? (thats an inflammation marker) Mind you plenty of folks on here have 'normal' blood results when they are in a flare. But you sound like you have a blockage and a perforation possibly. My heart rate was very much the same when I was admitted in Dec 2010. Have they booked you for a barium with follow through? CT scan normal, is shocking with your symptoms.

I hope they keep you in there long enough to find out exactly what is going on!

Hi, I also suffer from dehydration, causing high heart rate and blood pressure. Please be sure to take this very seriously as ignoring these symptoms has caused me permanent cardiac eschemia. I think proper hydration is key in treating this disease. Good Luck, Diggety
