Diagnosed two weeks ago

Hi everyone!

I was diagnosed two weeks ago after living for several years in incredible pain
I had no idea what might have been wrong with me until I spoke to my mom about my symptoms. She also happens to have Chrons.. apparently she never told me because she was embarrassed.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Greetings and welcome! Wow, that your mom was able to hide her Crohn's Disease means she is either in remission (awesome) or the strongest person known to man

Do your doctors have you on a treatment plan? How are you doing at present?

Welcome to the forum! Well, don't be like your Mom and be embarrassed of your Crohn's. I know you might not want to discuss some of the symptoms at a dinner party, but don't be ashamed of your illness. It's an autoimmune disease, similar to many others. But by joining the forum, I think you'll find it easier to accept and talk about your Crohn's. Maybe you could get Mom to join, too!
