Diarrhea after CT prep

So I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience I seem to be having now. I was supposed to go for CT enterography on Monday, was in hospital at the time and the nurses got me to drink a shot of this gross clear liquid stuff mixed with a lot of juice...once Sunday night right before bed and again Monday morning before my test. Turns out I wasn't supposed to be prepped that way so my scan has been rescheduled for this Friday. My question is that since Monday I've had diarrhea. I haven't had this due to my Crohn's alone for about 6 months so I'm wondering why all of a sudden this is happening. I know I've heard the CT stuff can cause this but I'm wondering if its normal to still be happening 2 days later. I'd say I'm going 3-4 times a day. The nurse at the hospital said it can take up to about 3 days for the stuff to fully clear your system which is why I have to wait til Friday to have the scan. Also, it's really yellow...I know this could be a bile thing which I've noticed before when my Crohn's was flaring but it's REALLY yellow now! All my blood work comes back normal and this is usually a good indication for me if my Crohn's is active or not. I've been on Remicade for almost a year and I don't have any symptoms of active disease either. I have a narrowing that's causing problems but my doc thinks its scar tissue.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had this happen after taking the CT contrast stuff. Thanks! :)

Was it the aniseed/liquorice tasting stuff? I had that for my CT and yes, it gave me diarrhoea for a couple of days afterwards. I can't remember the colour though!

Thanks for your reply! I didn't really think it tasted like licorice...I can't really describe how it tasted, kind of made me think of a strong vitaminy kinda flavor, bitter and gross! Either way I think it's kind of getting better (knock on wood) as I've only gone twice today. Hopefully things will work themselves out and then it'll be time to do it again on Friday...ugh!
