Did Humira reduce your trips to the restroom?

So I am considering Humira and I am just wondering if it reduced the amount of trips you make to the restroom?

Huge difference - In a flare, I would go 20-30 times a day. Now, it's 1 or 2, and it's 'normal', formed, regular!

Sadly not for me because it hasn't worked @ all. But that is no reason to think it wont for you.

Grant, you need to get on weekly injections...

Beth, Think my specialist is set on getting me onto Methetexate. He tells me that he has had far greater success with it than Humira. I dont mind either TBH, just want to break the cycle of flare-stricture-surgery etc etc. Getting to the point after 3 surgeries to thinking I'll try anything to stop the CD.

Hmm, good luck with the methotrexate. It completely killed my quality of life. Some docs seem a bit scared of the biologics and are shy of prescribing them preferring the older well known drugs they learnt about at med school. Weekly Humira made a huge difference for me.

Beth what problems did you have with Methetrexate? Would be good to know what I'm possibly letting myself in for.

I was like a zombie for the 3+ months I was on it. Mostly asleep the 2 days after the dose, I gradually got used to that but still slept the day after and felt very very tired the following. The rest of the week I couldn't think, concentrate, memory was 'donald duck'ed, just very horrible. And finally I got maybe a touch of methotrexate pneumonitis, and palpitations so told the docs that I'd had enough.

Not exactly selling it to you am I! - of course remember that not everyone has such a horrible time with it.

Tks Beth, thats the problem with all these drugs like Humira, Infliximab & Methetexate. They work for some & not for others, Think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet.
