The terms "scar tissue, strictures, and adhesions are all used interchangably in Crohn's disease but are they different or basically the same?

Well scar tissue can form into adhesions and strictures...

a stricture is where the bowel narrows due to scar tissue sometimes, but most often due to inflammation... the hole is tinier

an adhesion is where the bowel sticks to itself. Usually this is because of fistulas... I think... the bowel wall can also collapse on itself or fold over causing an adhesion.

and scar tissue is just anywhere that previous inflammation or ulcerations have occured and left scarring.

... I *think* this is mostly right... I haven't hit my weekly BS quota yet, so I'm going out on a limb here...
