Is there any difference in treatment between weed and hash?
I live in northern Sweden and have troubles finding marijuana (weed).
90 % of the time I get hash because there is no weed to buy. And when there is weed to buy it's mostly "standard" or below "standard. I can't really grow my own either as I live with other people who are not as liberal as I am, so my only option is hash.

So im wondering if there is any difference between hash and weed when "treating" Crohns? (I know they're both classified under "Cannabis" but essentially they are not the same thing as they differ in the "high")

My experience with hash has been that it has helped me during bad times, but I'm still a bit worried that it might not be the the right option.

I feel that my Asacol treatment is just not enough, i've had to use steroids a lot since my troubles started, would be nice to get off the prescription pills.

Sorry for the "almost never used" english but I hope I got myself understood.

IMO, hash is a way better way of medicating than marijuana. A small hit of hash can give you the effect of several smoked bowls of marijuana. It's a quicker, faster, easier way of medicating.

Hi Jack,

The term "hash" refers to a resin made almost entirely of dried trichromes, which contain the cannabinoids. In other words, hash is composed almost entirely of cannabinoids, whereas weed includes the plant matter as well.

Hash is much more potent and as kyle says, each "hit" will deliver much more medicine than if you had packed your vaporizer's bowl with cannabis.

I hope this helps!

hey there! hash and weed will give different highs in certain ways but in terms of the chemical content the 'active ingredient' is the same, i'd say if it makes you feel better, keep it up. just a word of warning to be a bit cautious about hash - it can be cut/mixed/whatever with some weird stuff. when you burn it, the smoke that comes off it shouldn't be black or sooty, if it is, you got soapbar hash. other than that it's smooth sailing. much more convenient than weed in some ways, and in europe definitely an easier option (in france at the very least).
