everytime i stand up i feel dizzy and have blurry vision for about 5-10 secs with a really painful head ache which also goes away after a couple of seconds. Anyone else have symptoms like this? i know its not the most severe on here haha but im just wondering if it the crohns which is causing it?

Also since ive been little i dont use trampolines and the like because when i jump i get a really bad headache which lasts for about an hour. feels like my head is going to explode and be crushed at the same time, kind of hard to explain lol.

Thanks, kb

The dizziness could be from vitamin deficiency (not really the Crohn's itself) and what vitamin could vary. My first thought would be Iron but it could also be B12. Could you ask your doctor to do some blood work to check and make sure everything is fine along with checking your blood sugar (high or low blood sugar can cause that too).

As far as your second issue, I'm not sure. I'd mention that to you doctor too. Not being able to jump because it makes your head feel awful is quite unusual.

Hi,
Really sounds like low blood pressure. Can be made worse by dehydration and iron deficiency, which is Crohns related. Maybe get it checked?
all the best.

Thanks for the super quick replies :) much appreciated as always
Last time i had bloods checked i was pretty low on iron so have been on an iron supplement for a few months now but hasnt improved any... but then again neither has my tiredness and fatigue so maybe i should just be more patient haha. Interesting to know about the low blood pressure. thanks again

I havent heard it mentioned but ill do a bit of research on it now. I have another blood test in a few weeks so i guess ill wait and see what the out come of that is.

Just wondering on this forum is it bad to post too many threads/questions? i have alot of questions but should i combine them into one thread (they are not all related though) or is it best to keep them separate?

Some questions are meant for General Discussion and some are meant for the Support section and other for Treatment etc. We have separate sections on the forum for people to post threads in so people can get the best and fastest and most accurate response possible. It's not a bad thing to make multiple threads. There's no limit to the number of questions you're allowed to ask. If you feel they aren't related and deserve their own thread then go ahead and post them in separate threads, just make sure they are in the proper section (but if they aren't then its not the end of the world to have a thread moved to the right section). :p

Edit: And also check to see if your question has already been posted. You may find your answer in a thread that's already up.

I agree with CrabbyRelish. But please rather ask and get answers than keep quiet and end up with more problems than necessary. Good luck.

Bit late to the conversation, but yes, I get dizzy sometimes even just standing up from sitting at my desk and we've chalked it up to low red cell counts.

My blood pressure runs low anyway, so that doesn't help in pushing blood to the brain, but my hemoglobin count is also well below normal. Where the average is anywhere between a count of 13 - 18, we can't seem to get mine up above 9 even with monthly infusions.

@mkhopper I would really recommend adding an iron supplement to your daily routine. I suffer from terrible anaemia and a really low RBC as well, I had three transfusion last summer. The iron should help with your red blood cell production.
