Hi, months ago I find that I can't digest chicken meat properly and I have chicken intolerance so I stopped eating chicken meat but keep eating eggs because of its high nutritional value. Nowadays I suspect I can't digest chicken eggs properly either. Since I can't digest chicken protein and my body reacts to it badly should I stop eating chicken eggs too? I'm trying to eliminate the eggs for a while and observe.
I'm wondering if any of you have been in a similar situation. Do you have digestive problems with chicken?
One more question: I've been doing paleo diet and as you know the eggs have the richest amino acid profile, also very good source of cholesterol, vitamins and minerals. It was a great source. Leaky gut took another great food option away... I wish there were alternatives to the eggs. What do you think?
Thanks.

How about organic hemp protein?
Also hows your gallbladder? Eggs can occasionally be iffy with gallbladder issues or loss.

Me too. I can not digest chicken meat at all. I always had a problem with eggs but less severe. I decided few months, ago to do de sensitization so I started with half an egg per week( before the weekend) and now teice a week!

Hemp has a great amino acid profile too, thank you for reminding. Unfortunately any kind of hemp is illegal and not marketed in my country.
As for gallbladder, I've had moderate to severe pain in the right side of my back, my chest and my right arm but I've suspected they are related to my hemiplegic migraine, I see now these symptoms are common with gallbladder problems too, I will search it more and keep in my mind thanks again.

sue2003- Thanks for sharing and response.

I'm fine with chicken and eggs. Would other birds eggs be ok? Turkey protein instead of chicken?

I don't do well with turkey either. I've also tried quail eggs with similar results. I guess my problem is with poultry meat in general. I've tried high quality free range chickens and eggs for many times. Fortunately I'm fine with all kinds of red meat but since I'm casein free and can't eat eggs too all I eat is red meat and fish which sometimes gets boring. Also as I said, eggs are the best option for someone to start a day. Very high nutritional value. It is like nature's multivitamin+full amino acid+ cholesterol in one shell. I guess I'm having hard time accepting I can't eat them forever; though sometimes food intolerances get better in time.
Since I don't eat legumes either, I'm struggling to find an alternative good nutritional source.
Thanks for the idea though.

Turkey eggs are often richer, as is turkey meat.

hope you find something that helps ;)

Chicken seems an odd food to have problems with. I thought it's one of the easiest foods to digest.

I haven't had this before crohn's disease. I think I've developed an immune reaction to it over time. That is common with crohn's.
