So I was thinking how many of us believe that diet plays a role to the point that they stick to it as a part of IBD management ?

I'm not obsessive about my diet, but I'm careful.I have issues with fat and grease and veg.and pastry, but I might have that without being a crohnie.I would prefer not to eat at all rather than force myself to eat "healthy" food I don't like.

Despite being in remission (probably anyway) I have to be careful with what I eat and have been for over 20 years and have devised my own diet during that time. I've always eaten mainly unprocessed food but just have to be extra careful with anything fibrous, spicy or containing lactose. So I really could have ticked 3 of your options :)

Yeah well, I later thought there may be an overlap; I actially tried to change the poll a bit but could not find how (I was only able to edit the post text, not the poll). On the other hand, maybe it's for the bettr; you pick the option that defines you the most. I could match 3 answers as well, but chose the one that is the closest...
The idea is to get a picture of what os the mainstream (if there is) regarding diet habits of people with IBD. Always been curious about it.

I am in remission so I truly can eat almost anything, but I still try to stay away from processed foods, too many sweets or junk food, and gluten.
