Didn't know where to post this so you got lucky. LOL Please move to a more appropriate board if there is one. Thanks so much.
Just saw my gastro yesterday. LONG story short, am currently on Cimzia every 4 weeks, but she moved me to every 2 weeks. If that doesn't work she wants me to go to Mayo in Rochester to see one of their Crohns gurus. I have fistulizing Crohns with the perianal disease being the worst of the whole mess. The internal gut stuff is really not a problem, I tend to treat that with small meals, meals not high in fat, cut down on dairy, etc . Don't get me wrong I suffer from that too, it is just not the worst of it. I've suffered from this for over 40 years and have been on pretty much every med out there.
Sooooo, my question is this. Do any of you go to Mayo in MN and have a favorite doctor you would recommend? I've been so lucky in this during my Crohn's life and hope that this continues with this decision. I live 1000 miles from there and it would be a lengthy expensive trip for me to make. I would also, unfortunately, be by myself which really sucks. Support is so important as you all know, but we have just too many animals for hubs to leave home, with the horses, dogs outside animals, etc. Life of a country girl......
Thanks in advance for any help. I did look through the doctor list already on here but thought I would ask outright for some names.
