Hi. I'm noticing some trouble with my medication getting stuck on the way down as I'm taking it. Do any of you use pill glide or anything to help you take your meds? I've seen this stuff called: pill glide that's been advertised and am thinking of trying it. Thanks in advance for any help you can give:)

I have trouble swallowing pills too. I never tried pill glide. Ask the pharmacist if you can cut the pill in pieces or crush it. Or, if you can put it in food.

After cutting the pill, it is a little easier for me to swallow. I put the crushed pill in applesauce. Then I eat something like Fritos to get the taste out.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Caeryn:) Wish I could cut it. Unfortunately, the directions on this Pentasa horsepill say to swallow whole, not to crush or chew. Might try swallowing this bugger like it is a few more days and if it's still like this will talk to my pharmacist & doctor...

Sounds kinda wierd. But, a friend of mine at work has parents who are both nurses and I asked her about this pill glide stuff. She suggested the thought of using some ice cream to help the pills slip down a little easier. I tried it today and it actually works:) Doesn't take a whole lot. But, this way the pills don't need to be cut, crushed or sprinkled in order to get them down. Just thought I might share it with you...
