does anyone's stomach move?

Starting yesterday there's an area in my stomach that actually moved. I could see it without even touching it. I haven't felt or saw anything like that since I had my two kids....and so far as I know I'm not pregnant. It's the weirdest thing to watch. Has this happened to anyone else? It's like something's alive in there!!! All I keep thinking of is that TLC program "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant". lol It doesn't happen all of the time but it's quite entertaining when it does. :)

Mine doesn;t move but it gurgles a LOT in the lower parts just after eating. My GI said that's a good thing? because it means things are moving along nicely.

it's the Crohn's alien..... ;)

are you quite slim, Bostonlass? at my slim times i can also see things moving around under my belly muscles, particularly when lying in the bath... more often that not it's either just after i've eaten, or if i've got gas rumbling around in there. i think it's nothing to worry about, as long as it doesn't hurt or have the appearance of a swelling.

Ha! Just thought I was alone in this symptom. Yep, as gas and bile go rumbling through, I can feel my gut move. It's very similar to a baby moving, but without the hard kicks. It's very noticable if I'm lying in bed. I am fairly thin (size 4), that probably makes some difference too. I can feel it travel all the way through the small & large bowel into the rectum. Funny that I've always kept this to myself. Now the world knows my secret. I must post a blog on that subject. hahahaha Plus, I can push on the area and make it move faster.

I know I'm not pregnant (I'm pretty sure) and I can see and feel my guts roll sometimes but doc said it's because of post-operation.

Mine has done it for 33 years. ugh. I'm used to it and don't pay it any mind. OMG, I'd better not be PG, +60.....hahaha have too many grandkids.

That happens to me too! It does feel like a baby kicking sometimes.....Kinda makes me sad. No more babies for me, except the Crohn's baby/alien:(

Hi Boston Lass, I have had this since my stuff since my stomach stuff started in March. For me it is stomach spasms, it is really weird because you can easily see it from across the room. My spasms can continue on a low level like that where you can see them and feel them-- to a much higher level where the big pain comes rolling in like a tsunami! BTW, not pregnant and certainly not a size 4 ( maybe one of my legs is LMAO.)

Ha ha! This happens to me all the time now and it is so weird! It doesn't hurt, but it looks so crazy, I have actually been afraid that I must be pregnant from time to time. Just like dingbat said, it really isn't after I eat or anything and I am slim, and I see it mostly when I am laying in the bath. The waves look huge!

I too have the crohn's alien!

Blessed with two kids already and it feels EXACTLY like a baby moving inside me - was slightly concerned the first time it happened, and yes I too can actually see the movement...and I am not exactly slim!

It's so surprising finding people that have the same thing happening. :p I can feel stuff moving around in there and sometimes I can see it. If I put my hands on my stomach I can feel movement everytime I hear my bowels groan.

I'm definitely not thin! Actually over the past three months or so I've dropped thirty pounds without even trying but because I haven't been able to eat solid foods. It's the one positive side of this thing!
