Donnatal and lomotil

Hi-using donnatal occcasionally to get through the night without having to get up 3 times!Can no longer get it in Canada, not even compounded, and wondering if anyone has tried Lomotil, which is similar??I don't don't want to stop my gut from processing, just slow down the twitchy peristalisis.

I use lomotil. It does slow things down a bit, but it doesn't stop it long term. If I am going out to eat, then I feel I have a couple of hours with little worry. During my worse days, I will take a couple before I go to work since getting to the restroom can be tricky teaching.
