I have been suffering with symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramping, nausea, vomiting, bloating, runny stool, dizziness, fatigue, pain in eyes and joints, blood in stool. I've been to the doctor and have had Endoscopy,Colonoscopy,Biopsy and they found I had H Pylori (bacterial infection). It was treated and is gone. But, my symptoms are still present. I recently had to be treated for Bronchitis and was put on an antibiotic, that made my symptoms much, much worse. I went to the ER and they told me my white blood cell count was high. Is it possible to get a negative result from a biopsy and still have Crohn's Disease or U.C.? Any input or advice would be great. I'm at my breaking point with these symptoms. :( Oh yeah, and to make matters even better.....I don't have medical insurance.

Welcome Luna. You might want to have a nose in the Undiagnosed subforum. Unfortunately, alot of us go years without a diagnosis!

The only thing you can do is keep pushing for help. But without medical insurance, I dont know what to tell you! I think some of our US members will have to help with that one. (another reason I wont go back to the US where I'm from originally!)

Luna13, Just wondering if the antibiotics are upsetting your delicate gut. Some of them strip out all the bacteria from your gut & everything goes into a state of turmoil. If ts the case then you can replace the good bacteria via Yakult etc.
Hope this helps

@Grant....It definitely has irritated my gut and very quickly. Just two hour after taking my first dose of the Zithromax or Z-Pack, I started feeling really strong cramping and dizziness. That progress through the night into a full blown flare-up. pain, cramps, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, bleeding, etc.

I do have some pro biotic pills but, there over the counter and probably not as effective as doctor prescribed doses. I've never heard of Yakult. Where would someone go to find this product?

They do have Yakult in the US, it's a pro biotic. Should you not find it near the yogurt, yogurt itself should help. Just make sure it has 'live cultures'.

Hey Luna13,

Just some advice, definitely get medical insurance now. It is better to get it before you are diagnosed so that you don't have to actually acknowledge you have a chronic illness. It will be cheaper that way. Technically now you could be perfectly healthy *wink wink* according to their files. Once your diagnosed, everything gets more expensive, insurance especially.

Hope everything else works itself out.

Yes, definitely get some insurance as soon as you can before you are diagnosed with anything. Many state government websites will have information on healthcare options for those without insurance (and low-cost options for those who are low-income). Apply as soon as you can. It's going to be expensive, but likely less expensive than not having insurance at all.

Then, you should go see a gastroenterologist to try to get diagnosed. This may mean getting more tests done, or re-done (e.g. colonoscopy, small bowel series, endoscopy, etc), but hopefully they will figure out what is causing your symptoms and can start treating it. Good luck!
