Drug side effects

What a crappy disease this is, I’ve been symptom and drug free for 3-4 years yet after my last colonoscopy the Doc said I should go back on Asacol as there is still some activity… now I have the bloating, wind and cramps back. I'm fed up

Sorry that you are getting symptoms back.

There certainly seems to be a lack of real good options with this disease. Even if you do not have symptoms it seems many still have active disease going on. I have few symptoms, but enough that I think the disease is still messing up my guts. Nothing I have done so far has stopped it completely.

I think most of us get fed up with this at times. I hate having to think about it so much.

sorry to hear that, Matt... and, you are right, it is a crappy disease, in more ways than one. At least your doctor is staying on top of things, and let's all hope that you get to a point where you can go at least another 3 - 4 years symptom & drug free..
