I was wondering: If I was previously on a drug (in this case, prednisone), and I didn't experience any real side effects when I took it in the past, does that mean I probably won't experience any side effects if I take it in the future?

HI Alfred, 9 chances out of 10 if you didn't have any side effects to Predisnone. then you will not have any side effects to it in the future. this doesn't mean you won't have side effects to other medications but not to preds. i haven't felt any side effects to preds in which i am now on at this present moment. so, i can't see you having any side effects in the future. best wishes.

Thanks for the reply. I asked because I used to take Ciproflaxin (an antibiotic), and I had taken it maybe 5 times in the past 5 years, with no adverse effects. However, the last time I took it, I broke out in a huge rash all over my body, resulting in my doctor to conclude that I am now allergic to it.

Although I doubt I'll turn out to be allergic to prednisone, I thought maybe side effects could occur later on.

Remember too that Steroids make you more prone to Osteoporosis. Just something to keep in mind. Not sure if it is long term use or lots of use, but it is worth looking into.
