So I was just wondering if anyone else has dyslexia. My sister is a teacher for leaning disabilities and at a class she went to they said that dyslexia was in the same gene as immune deficiency and well thats all of us! let me know just sounded to interesting to not ask and see:)

I don't and neither does my sister who also has Crohn's (don't know anyone in the family with it actually). Haven't heard anyone on the forum say that they have it but that doesn't mean no one does. I guess we'll have to see.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like such a strange link but who knows. I just had to ask. mabe I'm the weird one:)

I have dyslexia. i doubt it is related to my crohns. it has been known for a long time that dyslexia has a high genetic component. it just seems like something that a lot of people have therefor some of those people will have crohn's. there might be a link of children who have had malnutrition issues due to crohn's and learning issues.
your not alone just i don't know if there related

yeah who knows for sure but it would mean all immune stuff not just crohns. I found out in first grade that I had dyslexia. then didn't find out for sure I had crohns till I was 23yr old.

I'm dyslexic, though undiagnosed currently. My brother has dyslexia too, but doesn't seem to have digestive problems like me. My father was never dx'ed with dyslexia but he has the same mild form as I do, my brother has a more severe form and he was dx'ed before I was, even though I was older. I think it is what made me into a poet and an avid reader, everyone told me I couldn't and I just had to prove them wrong.

Interesting thread!
