eating healthy

I want to lose a few pounds but it is hard with a restricted diet. I can only eat so much chicken!

I cant eat wheat bread/pasta or most veggies.

I have pretty much given up red meat. I can eat super lean but thats it. So I have lots of chicken and ground turkey. I do not like fish.

I do not know how to lose weight when the majority of my diet is carbs

Any suggestions???

HI Becky I am in the same boat. Have yo yo'd all my life. Carbs are for energy and turns into sugar, most times just clings to our bodies lol. Pasta is ok but again a starch and carbs. The only thing you can do is start measuring your portions, you'd be surprised on how much a cup of Pasta is when you dont eyeball. Try and stay away from carbs or too much fats. Most people either eat out or twice the amount we should. Drinking water prior helps and chew chew and eat slow. You will be full faster.

Most people need to gain weight, I have only had the problem once in my intial dx, lost 40 lbs in 1.5 months, now....need to lose that amount  by the way I am no a fish lover either but you dont even like tuna? It is good for us even if you take it in a pill.

Thanks!
The only time I lost weight was when I was first diagnosised. No I dont even like tuna.
Sometimes I just crave a nice light salad. Pastas, rice, bread just get heavy sometimes. I think my biggest problems are I love sweets and finding time to exercise

Following a Paleo-diet has worked exceptionally well for me in keeping my Crohn's in remission as well as being in the best shape of life. Encourage you to check out Robb Wolf's as well as Arthur De Vany's websites.
