Ok, so this is embarrassing and a little scary.
I've had Crohn's for 10 years and nothing like this has ever happened --
For the past two nights, I've been lying in bed, not yet asleep, when I feel the need to go to the bathroom for a BM. Not uncommon, as I have between 6 - 18 BM's a day, and usually have to get up a few times during the night.
HOWEVER
This is the weird part. By the time I get to the bathroom, I discover that I've already SEVERELY made a mess in my pants, with a large amount of mess all over myself and my underwear. However, I have no physical sensation of the mess passing through me, nor any awareness of how long it's been there.
I feel like I have to go, but by the time I'm down the hall in the bathroom, I've already gone A LOT, and don't know how or why.
This is scary, because I feel like i'm losing control of my bowel functions, and I don't quite know what to do.
Has anyone had anything like this happen? Where they can't even feel when they make a mess?
