Enlarged Thyroid

I found out a couple of weeks ago when seeing my Internalist that I have an enlarged thyroid, a Goiter. After doing research I found out this can be caused by an autoimmune problem.

Also, for the last 3-4 years, I have had terrible hip pain. My Grandmother who is almost 70 has the exact same problems as me. Taking several steps to be able to put pressure on it, cramps, etc.

I am currently undiagnosed with IBD, seeing the Gastro Tuesday. But things are starting to click.

Anyway, my question is... Does anyone have a Goiter along with their IBD? Just curious as to if it is common.

Different endos have called mine a goiter. I see signature for thyroid disease and ibd.

My doc said mine was enlarged too. It ended up being Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
