Enteragam - Anyone else tried this?

Saw my GI doctor. Because my Crohns is so mild he doesn't want to pursue any harsher Crohns drugs. He started me on this new drug Enteragam along with a month of Prednisone and continuing with the Pentasa.

Enteragam is brand new on the market ( fall 2013). It is made of bovine immunoglobulins. Right now is only marketed for severe IBS but I'm wondering if it will cross over into the Crohns community.

There are few reviews but what there is is very positive. I'll keep you posted.

Interesting, made up of 50% bovine immunoglobulin given if I recall IVIG have been tried/ is in testing for IBD. Keep up the updates.

That is interesting. I know IVIG is for IGG deficiency. Could Enteragam be an alternative for IVIG in IBD?

I'm always interested in new medications, especially those that use immunoglobulin to help treat IBD and IBS. I hope you have success, let us know how it goes.

It is quite interesting. Here's one ( very small, preliminary) study using IVIG in IBD. I am not very sciencey but if it worked I would be very happy.
