Has anyone used EnteraGam medical food for the management of diarrhea-predominant Crohn's?

Did it help you? Did you have any side effects?

Hubby GI just gave him a 30 day sample supply yesterday he will start Monday he has Cdiff and GI says it will help with the antibiotic that he will starting on Monday. I will keep you posted.

Never heard of it but seems to only be FDA approved for IBS and HIV diarrhea. I wonder why they aren't seeking IBD approval. Maybe they are but more people with the other 2 conditions to profit from.

I never heard of it either once the nurse gave hubby a bag full of packets I was looking it up online lol. EnteraGam does have a website but there's not a lot of reviews.

I have been diagnosed with Crohn's for about 11 years. Had another colonoscopy and EGD yesterday and my GI gave me sample packs of the EnteraGam. They said they have only been prescribing this for less than a week so I was one of the first they have given this to. They said the pharmacy may not have or be able to get this yet so may have to go back for additional samples if this works. I am curious about the insurance coverage and I just can't wait to find out this will be another couple hundred dollars a month!
