I've knee and hip pain for about six years. I had been told I needed aknee replacement.
But my Rheumatologist (I've had her for two years) came up with a different diagnosis. She said the joint in my knees are fine, but that Crohn's has damaged the major tendons leading in and out of the kneecap. The pain I experience is from enthesopathy of the knees.
I've never heard of this, but apparently it's a well-known extra intestinal manifestation of Crohn's and is fairly common.
I was unable to find alot of info on this-has anyone else heard of this? Anyone have any experience with it? I'd appreciate anyone's advise on this since I've seemed to hit a wall.
Thanks!:thumleft:
