I was diagnosed with crohn's in my terminal ileum last month after a colonoscopy, and I've been on entocort for two weeks. I had a CT scan and MRI prior to the colonoscopy, which were normal so I asked my doctor if it's possible that I have ulcers and inflammation in my small intestine and he said possibly. Should I have had the pill cam done BEFORE starting this medication then? I'm still having stomach pain, gas after eating or drinking anything, low grade fevers, etc.

Entocort can take up to a month to start working, so I would say give it a bit more time if it's only been 2 weeks. As for having the pill cam - Entocort mainly works in the terminal ileum and large intestine (it has a special coating which allows it to pass through the stomach and most of the small intestine before releasing the medicine), so it probably shouldn't affect things on the pill cam if you do have small intestine involvement. You may want to check with your doctor to be sure about having the pill cam while on Entocort, though.
