I've been reading up on the benefits of soaking in an Epsom salt bath a few times a week and find it very interesting. It says one of the benefits is that it reduces inflammation, although I think it's more joint and muscle inflammation. But for any of the kids here that suffer from joint pain, have you tried this? Google the health benefits of Epsom salt baths and you'll find lots of great info.

I originally looked into it because a friend recommended it to me to help my son with his anxiety...I think it's worth trying, can't hurt.

Grace lives in her Epson salt baths.

My advice for younger kids
* Never leave children unattended in a bathtub.*
We place a large tote in the tub with warm water and Epson salt.
I love it this way because it takes less water and salt and when she splashes it still stays in the tub.
I place up her hair up and out of the water.
I don't let her " play" in it, it's just for soaking. She's usually out in 10 minutes or less.:)
It can be very drying to the skin so we lotion her up right after getting out.
It must help because she always ask for it (2-4 a week).

We have done Epsom salt baths too. My daughter actually gets more stiff sitting in a bathtub - she says it's too hard! It's also uncomfortable for her hips. She likes hot showers better.

They're definitely worth a try, he may like them.
