Hi I have been on Budesonide for 2months now but didnt see that much difference- it did make me urinate frequently and gave me some backache and mild insomnia in the beginning 4-6 weeks. Doctor has called me with results of MRI showing areas ofmild inflammation in upper GI and also have duodenal ulcers from earlier endoscopy this year.
I have just stopped this on Tuesday 21/08 without weaning/tapering off and the next day started on 75mg Azathioprine with 40mg of Prednisolone to taper down by 5mg every two weeks).
QUESTION:
My question was whether it is normal or good or bad that I have been having excess salivation. Yesterday evening 20mins after eating a light meal, I started to salivate as if I was gonig to be sick. Thankfully I was not and this was all until 4 hours later aruond 11:30pm the same thing happened but I had not eaten anything except a few snacks an hour earlier. I am positive that I had not vomitted but not that happy about the salivating.
Most of the time whilst I was on budesonide I had been quite well without vomitting at all except twice during a two week period where I had to come off my lansoprazole(30mg) which helps so much with acidity, in order for me to have a h pylori test which has come back negative.
I have heard good things about Pred but everyone is so different and I have found it hard to find any of the symptoms that match this (though I have been urinating more frequently as I was on budesonide)
