The Crohns has been behaving for awhile, although I still have ongoing diarrhea and urgency issues of undetermined origin.

I seem to be having some sort of allergic reaction, breaking out in a rash despite various cremes and whatnot. The OTC antihistamines are helping somewhat.

To top it off, my arthritis is acting up. Tonight I can barely walk (my gait resembling that of a spasmodic lowland gorilla). Sacroiliac joint pain due to Ankylosing Spondylitis. Both hips affected, but the right side absolutely hobbling. They sent me home early from work. I need a cane. Good god, I'm only 47.

I'm so sorry GJG - it's just awful isn't it when you start feeling 'old.' I really hope you get some relief from the arthritis soon - it's such a horrible searing pain. Thinking of you x

I'm sorry you are'nt feeling good GJG. I really hope you feel better soon. I'm also 47 and have just noticed that arthritis has set into 3 of my fingers!! How long has your arthritis been there?

I'm sorry buddy - sounds miserable! You definitely have an inflammatory process going on all over sounds like (to, eh, state the obvious ;) )

Johnny - I'm trying to remember - are the rashes primarily on the palms of your hands and bottoms of your feet?

If at all possible - it sounds like it is time to see your GI doc and get on some kind of medication.

EDIT: forgot to mention - my youngest saw your avatar and said "Mommy - is that a person inside an aquarium??" ;)

Hey Ed, sorry to hear you are having so much pain and nastiness! I do hope you can get it under control soon, you're far too young to be using a cane!

((((HUGS))))

Actually, this is me in an aquarium.

I made an appointment with my GP for Friday and my GI for next week.

I'm also going to resume my physiotherapy. A certain amount per year is covered through insurance at work, so I start out with a fresh 2010 ledger.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

She *loved* the aquarium pic Ed!! :O)

Hope they can figure it out for you. Chronic pain on top of chronic poop - not a fun combo!

Doctor is setting me up with a Rheumatologist and in the meantime ordering a whole battery of tests. I'm back on Asacol as a Crohn's maintenance drug.

Getting tested for allergies, as well as TB (if I go on Humira). He's also concerned about my Thyroid.
