Imuran and ascol. Are out of control. ..she didn't start imuran yet but the prices are rediculous..and medicare won't pay a dime

Depending on which state you are in a state program may help. I know that in NJ they have several different plans depending on income. Do a google search for your state, that was how I found out for my mom. Also ask your Grandmother's doctor and her pharmacy. The pharmacy normally has wonderful ideas.

I just received a card from my GI guy for Asacol savings. Ask your doc about it. If you are in the states here is a number to call to try to get help with Asacol HD.

Thank u so much. ... every one on this site has been so helpful...I registerd earlier this week. And I wish I knew about this bfor.my gma is not great on computers so I'm askn for her..and everybody is so warm and welcoming...

I can surely sympathize with expensive drug costs, Just Pentasa alone is very expensive. I'm very grateful to be back on medicaid. There's only a three dollar co payment because no generics are available.

She is on medicare which is for Senoirs ii think....
She is in what they call a doughnut hole...she has a certain amout of money they will pay for perscriptions per year. When that amount runs out she has to pay $5,000 out of her pocket. Then they will reup....so far she's up to 10 grand and they still arnt payn. .thast. b.s...she's 65 years old. .ain't right. ...sad

She is in the donut hole and it is only January? For the the of Pete! Try applying for Medicaid also. It may not work in your area and it is ALOT of paperwork but it may help.

Good luck,
Michele
