I heard from a researcher that it appears crohns patients lack this bacteria that may help fight the disease. Apparently the bacteria is not available commercially.

I wonder if that's why fecal transplants work? Hmmm...

It's possible I don't know why they won't patent this and make it available for supplementation.

The problem though David is that nobody is patenting it and therefore it's not being used. Apparently not much seems to have happened on this bacteria since 2008.

You can't patent a bacteria. It'd be nice if someone created a probiotic with it so it could be tested.

Well I listened to a researcher this weekend who said nobody is touching it because the French researchers who did the initial study won't patent it.
