I am an avid baker, but don't have a good handle on what I should and shouldn't be eating yet as my symptoms are relatively mild and it's often not clear what foods make them better or worse. All I know is caffeine, alcohol, tomato, and white bread are definite bad foods for me.

How are people generally with home-baked goods? Do you have any favourite safe recipes that you can still have when you're flaring? I made a pretty plain apple cake and that seemed okay (removed the skins, of course).

Home made white bread is one of my staples. I also make cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing, and plain muffins. I make cupcakes from a cake mix using water and egg whites. These all freeze well.

Those sound delicious, especially the cinnamon buns! I'm not sure which/whether cheeses are alright.. haven't been game to try any. I might try making some cupcakes!
