Hi ive taken my prep and the effects are beginning to kuck in now... im really dreading my colonoscopy tomorrow but hope to get some answers plus it couldnt come at a better time really as in a lot if pain today regardless of prep and just want to know whats going on!! thanks xx

Yep, the prepping is the worse but the more tense you are the worst it will be for you. Of all the things for a colonoscopy I hate not being able to eat and I detest Jello. The scope is easy, they put you out, I get 3 glorious injections of drugs zzzzzzzzzz

Here in the UK Pen we get twilight sedation instead of being put right out. The effects vary from person to person, asleep, relaxed and drowsy etc.

Wow that sucks I have had twilight and my doc was astonished that I was so alert and it hurt. But that was 3 or 4 gi's ago and 20 years ago. Everyone has had at least one scope from my Gi he is the scope king!

Hang in there, Gill! The prep, the scope, they're all part of the unpleasantries that give your GI the info needed to address your symptoms and that pain. I hope it's the beginning of getting you better. You can do it. :thumright:

SNAP!! I have a colonoscopy tomorrow too!!! Took the Senna tablets 45mins ago and will be taking the Picolax at 6pm - can't wait!!!!! I find it rather amusing that considering how much D I have at the mo that I would still need this stuff, I have barely eaten in the last few days due to throwing up everytime I eat more than a couple of bits of toast. I must admit I am wonderng how I will keep the stuff down considering how much liquid they want you to drink in 20mins. This is my 2nd colonoscopy this year and my 7th in total so you would think by now I would have this figured out. Then tomorrow I will have the pain of the test itself - I don't really get much effect from what they give me anymore. I feel fully awake and end up watching the little tv showing my innards. I am pretty sure they are going to say my crohns is acting up - my CRP has gone from 25 a few weeks ago to 83 on wednesday and I haven't been on any treatment since June. Good luck for tomorrow.

hi thanks everyone for your replies.... Its not so bad actually but now im worried as I am not going a lot :/ took my citrafleet at 11am as it said that in doc instructions but I followed packet instructions to make it then realised it said mix in a different way on doc instructions eek.... on pack its mix in a glass then drink but doc said mix with 2 tablespoons water until hot, let it cool add more water then take oh dear really fretting now its not working... got my next dose 6pm joy...!!! oh and im starving wish I could eat!! im sure they are gonna say its crohns but will let you know as i do xx Good luck for tomorrow angrybird!! Hi, I think it should be ok on how you've mixed the first lot of stuff and there is always the 2nd batch that will get the rest of whatever is left in your system. I got my username from my fave iPad game and what this disease can sometimes turn me into

Ha ha I thought so its a good game that !! It also turns me into an angrybird poor hubby constantly gets his head off at mo!! And last night my poor son got it too....
