Feels like broken glass...any ideas?

It feels like I have tons of crushed up glass all inside my intestines....not sure if that will make sense to anyone at all but thought I would ask....I have felt this same thing a million times but never knew I had Crohn's and now wondering if it is someting anyone else feels...wondering if it is Crohn's related...

A feeling of broken glass in the intestines is unfortunately a relatively common way people describe how IBD including Crohn's feels I have a different form of IBD and that's how I would feel and describe it.

Yes, I have that feeling too-like I swallowed glass. I get it right before a flare.

Yes, im a crohnie and i got that feeling almost everyday. Breathing techniques help a lot when it happen.

I get that feeling too. I never thought to describe it as broken glass, but that is exactly what it feels like.

Yes, I have had it. The worst was before I got diagnosed. It even hurts to go over bumps in the car when I have that feeling - just like if there was glass in there. It is cool to know that others use the same term to describe the pain!

WOW! Thank you all for replying. I'm so sorry you all have to feel it too but knowing I am not nuts (even though docs look at me that way when I describe the feeling) is a big relief! It is so strange to put all the symptoms of all the years together now and realize that I finally have a real diagnosis!
