It's a medicine for ulcerative colitis and IBS, but I just thought it would be interesting to post it here. In a study for U.C. symptoms were reduced by 50% or more in 63% of the patients that tried it.

I'm not sure if this is available in the USA but you could simply make it yourself with cooked oats and yogurt starter or probiotics they ferment if for 15 hours. I always wanted to try something like this as an alternative to yogurt since yogurt still gives me some issues from remaining lactose. I woudl use fermented oats though instead of barley.
