I have been advised by the Doctor to give my daughter Kate farms Komplete. It is a meal replacement shake that is dairy and gluten-free. It has 290 calories. I notice that it has dietary fiber of 5g per serving. She is ton drink one with each meal. She is not able to tolerate the ensure drinks or the generic drinks. Has anyone tried these drinks with your kids and dother you think it is to much fiber?

Never heard of those drinks being used
Are you in the US ??
Ds was on peptamen jr with prebio (fiber)
Don't remember how much they had

He was fine with them but not fiber in say high fiber bread

Looked it up
Kate farms is the same as ensure
It's polymeric
The only difference is it's dairy and gluten free
So it's not broken down more for ease of digestion

Not sure why a semi elemental wasn't tried
Those are easier on the gut since the molecule chains are broken up

I would recommend a semi-elemental drink too. It's much easier for the kiddo to tolerate. Pediasure Peptide or Peptamen Jr are typically the ones used.

My daughter cannot tolerate fiber in high fiber bread or veggies, but she was ok with Peptamen Jr.

Never heard of Kate Farms being used.

I am assuming he is recommending this brand due to my insurance not covering the formula you guys mentioned. So far she is able to tolerate these better. The cost for a 12 pack is $42.00
