finally a diagnose - fissure

I have had perineal pain for a while and I even visited a specialist who basically said he could not see anything wrong with me. But coz I felt that he just did not even want to try hard enough to help me, I went to see a second doctor who finally told me that i have the scar of a past fissure 2 cm up in my anus towards the back. I only lost blood once in two years coz of this fissure but by touching it and pressing on it, he even managed to make it bleed.
My question is this. This fissure, despite being at the back, is causing pain only at the right end side of my anus and it feels like I have something pulling between my anus and the sitting bone. I might also feel some pain in my penis sometimes.

Has any of you ever had these wierd feelings with a fissure ?

sorry I dont have the answer for you juniper but I wanted to say that I am glad that you finally found someone who would listen and help you.
Hope you can find relief soon :)

Hey Juniper. I've had colorectal problems for a while now.

It started out before I got a Dx. Sometimes, when I twisted my body weird or strained getting out of bed, I would feel an intense pain where I figured my prostate was. I figured something was wrong. Went to see doc, he said I've got a beautiful prostate... (yeah.....)

ANYWAYS, I started getting fissuring (lots), which was terrifying at first (because it was embarassing). I went on a corticosteroid cream, to try to heal it (again, before I got a Dx), and ended up with an abscess. One of my fissures had gotten infected, swollen, and closed up. I too felt the pulling you're describing.

My advice is, if you start being unable to sit down, or the pain gets sever, see your GP or Specialist, and ask for exploratory surgery. I'm not sure what can be done about fissures, but I know if you've got an abscess, it needs to be drained.

Good luck! :hang:
