finally went to doctor

hey guys well went to the doctor today and he put me back up to 40 prednisone and told me to go on a antibiotic for 10 days.. he said when i come see him in 10 days and if the antibiotic doesnt help he will change my medication from pentasa to something stronger and i think the medication is call imuran i think is what he said..

he said he doesnt know why my body is reacting, so it might be an infection that doesnt want to go away.. so hes making me do some test to check and make sure that my number 2 is normal and that theres nothing else serious going on..

i asked him if hes sure theres no where else in my bowels or intestines that might have chrons that he didnt see, and he said no the only place he saw it was in the ilietis or how ever you spell that where the small and the large intestines meet. the pain is about a 8 now and im trying to hang in there but its so hard to live with pain everyday and have no relief.. he hasnt giving me anything for the pain at all and im about to say screw it and go to my regular doctor and ask for something from her..

its hard to take the prednisone because you have to eat or drink milk with it, and im staying away from the milk to see if thats making me feel this bad, and everytime i eat my tummy hurts like crazy.. sigh never ending.

:hug: I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. If it were me, I would go to my pcp to get pain meds. You shouldn't have to suffer with this much pain. Maybe try some soy or almond milk with the prednisone?

thanks amber, i was looking at some different milks i can try, theres this vanilla almond one i was looking at but ill pick it up tommorrow.. im so tired right now i dragged my self just to go pick up my son from day care.. i feel so tired all the time for the past 2 weeks.. im sitting at the computer now to tired to go to the bed and to much pain to move.. ill try making an appointment to see the doctor tommorrow and hopefully they give me an appointment

well started taking the antibiotics and my tummy feels better already the pain went from 8 to a 3.. the only thing is the lady that gave me the medication forgot to put on the bottle that you can get dizzy with flagyl.. i took it and maybe 30 mins into driving i was swirving on the road not knowing why i was feeling so dizzy.. i came back home and went to look at the prescription bottle and the paper that comes with it and the paper definitly say not to drive with it, but the bottle said nothing about it.. so thank god the road was clear today..
