Hi everyone. My name is Daniel, I am 22 years old and live in Wichita, KS. I was diagnosed with Crohn's nine years ago, but have lived with all the symptoms for as long as I can remember. I recently spent 2 weeks in the hospital for a terrible flareup and ended up having a small bowel resection done. I also deal with depression and anxiety.
I've been on all kinds of meds... Pentasa, Immuran, Prednisone, Entocort, Remicade and I'm sure I'm missing some lol. I was actually off medication for a year and a half and felt better than I ever have until this last flareup, which ended with the 14 day stay in the hospital - while there I missed finals week, and spent most of my break including Christmas, which was loads of fun...
I'm hoping with the surgery I will feel better in due time and hopefully be free of all the typical symptoms we all go through every day. I thought this site was really helpful and was excited to see so many people that can relate to eachother and myself, because "normal" people just don't seem to understand. Anyway, I'm glad to be part of the site and I hope to help anyone out that needs a helping hand!
