I'm going through a bad flare right now. 2 months and counting :/ Anywho, I can't seem to keep anything in... I have no appetite at the moment, even though I'm back on Pred, but I am starving, haven't had a proper meal in about a week, just picking, so I was wondering what everyone else eats that doesn't cause them stabbing, cramping pains and doesn't have them sitting on the loo 10 mins after eating?!? I can't touch fruit at the best of times so smoothies are a no no. I've heard mash potatoes are good?? Don't really touch rice as it causes pain and I don't like chicken breasts or turkey... Any ideas? Possibly some thing to get my energy up and is cheap??
Thank you
Vicky

I go for pretty well unseasoned fish. Steamed unseasoned veggies can work for me sometimes, depending on which veggies and how well steamed they are. The BRAT diet still generally makes me cramp up shortly thereafter, but at least doesn't aggravate my nausea. I also force myself to drink 4+ ensure daily in a bad flare, even though they send me to the bathroom too. It's just easier to gulp down several hundred calories that way than trying to make it through a full meal before the pain sets in.

You can buy ensure/boost in bulk at Sam's or Costco for less than $1/bottle.

when I have flares I eat chicken soup prtty much broth and noodles and I eat pasta. I also use Ensure it's pretty much all I can eat. Nothing else works.

you cant go wrong with fish(oven or steamed)and pasta or noodles.i love the chow mein noodles they do in aldi and lidl.a wee quick easy noodle dish is good enough to take the munchies away.hope this helps
