Flare up help

Hi, i got diagnosed just under 2 years ago, had my last big flare up and hospital admission about 10 months ago but since have been taking aza and been fine, up until the last month or so that is.

I had to stop the aza as it was affecting my blood count to much or something... and had to wait for it to return before i could start a smaller dose of aza. So in the mean time i started to get a bit ill again, mainly going to the toilet a lot more and stomach cramps etc..

i've been back on aza for about a week but things havent really got much better....and no my mouth is starting to get riddled with ulcers which is painfull and infuriating. Does anybody have any tips that will help with shifting the ulcers? ive tried mouth washes, bonjela gel and the new stick things they do but they just seem to be getting worse.

I'm so peeved right now and not sure what to do. I hate it so much. Seemed to be doing so well and getting back to a normal life for it to just turn up out of the blue and start shooting me down again

hi robbo,
i would think your mouth ulcers are related to your immune system going crazy. not much to do than wait and medicate, at least there weren't for me - sorry

Hey Robbo, my son was having 2 or 3 ulcers at once on his tongue so we started him on an extra B-complex vitamin and have him use a mouth wash after he eats anything. He has only had one since then. That's been 6-8 weeks at least!! Hope that helps!!
