Hey all,
I have been thinking about this for a while now, and I believe that the phrase 'flare up' when used to describe what we go through when our Crohn's goes on the offensive is simply not strong enough a term.
Think about it: pain, obstructions, exhaustion, vomiting, weight loss, diarrhea, and did I mention pain, for days, or weeks, or months at a time, often having an adverse effect on our lives, careers and relationships. Does that sound like a 'flare up' to you?
I would be interested in some alternate names for this beast, that would properly put into context what is happening here
How about "Crohn's Attack" for a start. "Crohn's Invasion", maybe.
Other ideas?
