Flaring today

Hi today just been a really bad day, from yesterday I started having pain but today it's getting worst.. I have called my doctor and waiting for him to call back. The worst thing about this is I have no one to leave my son with so the ER is out of the question.. Sigh hope doctor call soon.. To be honest I don't think pentasa is working or atleast it may need something to work with to help me get this undercontrol..

Did you hear back from your doctor? You're right about Pentasa, it's more of a maintenance med for once you get into remission, it's not really for stopping a flare. You might need some stronger meds, something like Pred or Entocort maybe, to get this under control for now. Please do go to the doctor or a walk-in clinic if you can't get ahold of your doc. heya cat your right he put me on prednisone to bring the inflammation down.. im on that for 2 weeks and then i stick with pentasa after that.. he showed me my small bowels which is soooo cool hehe.. but yeah it wasnt as bad as some of the picture he showed me of when its really bad.. so im happy and the prednison seems to be working because the gurgling i was hearing before has gone away and im eating so im happy.
