Hi
I've had crohns for almost 6 years and have a colonoscopy Friday morning due to symptoms coming back after being on azathioprine since diagnosis
I went to the hospital today to pick up my prep and have been given Fleet Phospho Soda
I have to take my first lot at 7am tomorrow morning and have just googled Fleet and nearly everything that comes up is posts from early 2000's saying it was recalled due to kidney damage.
Is this correct?? Should I be taking it?? Was wondering if anyone else has used this prior to colonoscopy recently.
Thanks :)

The Fleet prep is still used, you just need to follow directions and make sure you drink enough fluids with it. From what I saw doing a quick check, the 'recall' was to change it from an over the counter medication to not over the counter.....

Ahh I see! My fault for skim reading!

Has anyone taken Fleet before?

I think I used moviprep last time and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm dreading this!

Ugh...yup, taken it MANY a time, used to be used in conjunction with the Go-Lytely (AWFUL!!!!!) prep..... I'm still here 30+ years later! lol.....

For the future, see if you can do the Miralax prep....for many it is MUCH better tolerated....
