I am sure it has been said many times but I just wanted to say I think you parents of kids with IBD are awesome!!

I have always thought that the people that support us chronies through this have it much harder than we do. Whenever I end up in hospital I get morphine and go into la-la-land and my mum gets to pick up the pieces and make all the really tough decisions and generally deals with all the hospital fun. Even though I am 24 and have been out of home for a while I still lean heavily on my mum for support in all things Crohn's.

I couldn't have gotten this far without the support of my Mum - she has been AMAZING!! I am sure it must be incredibly difficult and frustrating to watch and not be able to do a lot. But I guess this is just a shout out to you all and an encouragement to keep doing what you are doing because your support makes a world of difference and even if we forget to say thank you frequently we do appreciate all you do for us!!

Awww Tcam, how sweet of you!

You are so compassionate and caring, your Mum must be very proud of you. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and words, they have truly made my day...

Much love, :Karl:

:sign0085:Hi my name is Jennifer and my middle son Jazz who will be 4yrs old on the 25th of this month (July) was diagnoised with crohn's 1 week ago. I have been reading as many books and posts as I can find to help us with as much information as possible but nothing helps as much as talking with someone else going through the same thing. Jazz is currently taking Pentasa and Zantac twice a day and it seems to be helping some. He still has days of loose stool, no more bloody diarrhea but the problem we are dealing with is he still has random days of severe joint pain. Today he woke up crying and is unable to move his legs without them hurting. He also is having pain in one elbow. This pain comes and goes, some days are great others are horrible. Any suggestions??? Thank you!:sign0085:

Hi Jennifer, your little Jazz and I have two things in common, our birthday (July 25) and Crohn's Disease. I am sending both of you warm wishes. Crohn's is a disease that often waxes and wanes. You are in the right place. There are some terrific parents here on the forum that have children with CD. I'll be thinking of Little Jazz on July 25th. :)
